Living Heritage Koslanda: An estate in full harmony with its surroundings

Living Heritage Koslanda

80 acres of stunning forest in the very heart of the Sri Lankan hill country. An infinity pool right above the paddy fields with endless mountain views. An estate in full harmony with its surroundings, was my first thought when entering Living Heritage Koslanda.

Sleeping in an open-to-nature ‘tree hut’, we fell asleep watching fireflies & woke up to the sounds of the forest and the wind breezing through the curtains. An experience and connection to nature I have truly never experienced at a hotel.
You almost do not want to leave the estate and theoretically, you definitely wouldn’t need to. But the Living Heritage Koslanda team knows their surroundings like no other.During our 3 day stay, we visited the stunning Diyaluma Falls, went hiking through wide tea plantations, tried said tea with the local ladies & my personal highlight, we visited a Living Heritage Koslanda befriended Hindu village, hidden up in the mountains, with about 20 families living in a community which evolves around an impressive temple – as if tourism never happened.

To keep it that way, I will leave you with only visual impressions of this special place. The Living Heritage Koslanda team will be more than happy to show you this, and all their other hidden gems of the area. Thank me later!
