A precious and prestigious place

It was an amazing place filled with amazing staff. Not to mention the humbleness and flexibility when requested. You can always talk with them and they are very friendly. I was there taking twelve students of mine for a meditation retreat and it was beautifully arranged and service was excellent. From the food to accommodation we were well taken cared of. Throughout our stay for three nights we were given amazing service. You can walk to the waterfall and that place is a true heaven on earth.

A hidden Gem

What a wonderful break into a nature. The forest pavilion was such a experience and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Huge shout-out to Johnson & Carrim for being so accommodating with our needs. I happen to leave one of my favorite books at the place by mistake and they posted it back to me within days. Great service, amazing food and breathtaking location, just what we needed.

A Pleasant Stay With Excellent Services!!

It was simply a beautiful break into the nature. We stayed in a Luxury Villa Suite Room. The resort is very quiet. The room was spacious and beautiful with a separate living room, huge bathroom and the private pool was AMAZING! All the staff went above and beyond to make out stay wonderful. Special thanks to Mr Carrim (The General manager) for being so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend if you want an outstanding experience. It was a delightful and memorable staycation for us. They exceeded our expectations in all ways and would love to stay again.

One of the most beautiful places you’ll ever visit

Beautifully appointed suites and forest pavilions in the most stunning of locations. Johnson and his team were so accommodating and the food was also amazing! Highlights were the trek to the waterfall in the property as well as the climb up Diyaluma Falls with Ravi the security guard! The Forest Pavilions will give you the best view and the wildest experience! The pool is also in an idyllic setting for kicking back and relaxing. Would definitely recommend living heritage, had one of the best and most memorable stays!

Truly Indulge and Unwind at Living Heritage

This was our second time here! That itself should say a lot about this place! Our stay was amazing! The food, the ambiance and overall the entire experience was just calming and soothing! We have stayed at the Forest Pavilion, The Pepper Cottage and the Luxury Suite Villas and all accommodation options were simply amazing and caters so well to different traveler’s needs. They have a private waterfall and a jungle pavilion above the waterfall where you can enjoy a romantic lunch enjoying the music of nature. Highly recommend Living Heritage Koslanda for couples, groups of friends, family and even for the solo traveler!

Heaven Is A Place In Koslanda

Our stay here was nothing but soothing. With a stunning view, excellent hospitality, breath taking waterfalls and 80 acres to explore, we had nothing but the best for ourselves to enjoy. The staff at LHK including Careem, Johnson and each and every person from the security staff to the butler made our stay exquisite. Not forgetting their delicious meals and thoughtful gestures.A second visit would never be gone a waste. Cant wait for that. Good Luck To All You Guys, and Keep up the good work Best Regards, Shari

The perfect getaway to unwind and recharge!

This place is truly special…honestly!! It was our second time at Living Heritage and we would still go back in a heartbeat! We have stayed in all the different rooms and it’s difficult to choose which one is our favourite – each space gives such an unique experience and has a great balance between luxurious and earthy. You can really sense how much care and attention to detail has been put into it. What we enjoyed the most about Living Heritage is how peaceful and calm it is… The beautiful forest surroundings make it an amazing place to unwind and recharge. Not to mention that the hotel has a private natural waterfall only a short walk away from the main areas!! We had the whole waterfall to ourselves and it was one of the most magical highlights of our visits. The food is delicious and the menu has a variety of traditional/local dishes and western food. On one of the evenings we had a cozy bonfire together with the rest of the guests – toasting marshmallows and sipping wine under the starry sky… it’s those little moments that make the stay truly memorable and exquisite… It really is a hidden gem definitely worth a visit!

The most gorgeous escape imaginable

Words can’t really do justice to describe this stunning place. It’s a collection of incredibly beautiful buildings, all designed in an authentic and unique style, set in the rolling hill country of Sri Lanka. We stayed in a Forest Pavilion one night and a luxury villa the next – I can’t decide which I preferred. The Forest Pavilion offers a unique chance to be surrounded by nature and be completely cut off from the stresses of life, while the villas as elegant luxury at its best. The food served at Living Heritage was some of the best we enjoyed on our trip, and I loved the fact there’s a cocktail hour and you can be sociable with guests. But it’s the location and proximity to wildlife that really makes this such a unique stay. Whether it’s seeing monkeys on the way to swim in the waterfall that’s hidden on the grounds, or listening to morning birdsong as you recline by the infinity pool, then the sense of being away from civilization is incredible. I can’t wait to return.

Little hidden gem!

This place is golden…honestly!!! It may not be on your itinerary but a stop here in your days in the Hill Country is going to be one of the highlights of your whole trip. First, the place itself is GORGEOUS…Do take a stroll around, everything is beautifully designed and flawless, especially the beautiful infinity pool. Second, the rooms are the most comfortable we had in our whole trip to Sri Lanka. We slept two nights in a suite, which was impressive and so, so comfy…it was just perfect..! Third, the food…since it’s a remote place you pretty much have to eat there but it’s so worth it! You get five course meals that are both gargantuan and DELICIOUS! They can even pack you breakfast/lunch for your day trips. Fourth, the staff here are so helpful and nice! Fifth, you are NATURE! Many birds, monkeys, and even (we were lucky) an elephant that came near the hotel grounds just before dinner! So yeah really this place is a little hidden gem, so glad we spent two nights there, should’ve stayed longer!

Tranquil stay, immersed in nature

This was one of the best properties we stayed at in Sri Lanka. The whole experience can’t be pictured but can only be described as tranquil. We enjoyed the food, the staff’s hospitality, the interesting stories and great recommendations of the owner, and the experience of being surrounded by nature. The Diyaluma Falls are also conveniently located and there is plenty to do. We wished we spent more time there.

Incredible paradise nestled in the hill-country

This place is wonderful, it has the feel of a secluded retreat. The pool area is particularly exceptional, looking right out over the valley. One thing we loved was multiple shady outdoor lounge areas to relax when the sun got too strong. Food can be served to anywhere on the grounds using the phone you receive at check-in. We stayed in a Forest Pavilion for two nights which had a wonderful deck to relax on as the sun went down. We moved to a Suite for the last night which was outstanding, a huge villa filled with antique furniture and a lovely covered area at the front to watch the light fade over Lipton’s Seat. Johnson (the manager) was wonderfully welcoming and helpful. Plus there’s a waterfall on the grounds, which you can walk 20 minutes to. Breakfasts were a 100 course feast, when you sit down for your first one ask what they’re going to serve, so you know to keep room for the best bits. The food is tasty and well-executed.

Eco-friendly jungle luxury

Wow! Living Heritage Koslanda is different to anything I have stayed at before. It’s beautiful and for the not-too-adventurous type (me) it’s a perfect way to experience “the jungle”! We chose to stay in a suite which had a good size bathroom, comfortable bed, indoor/outdoor living area and most importantly a mosquito net above the bed! We didn’t have A/C but it is much cooler in the evenings and we had a fan in the room which we used at night. The food was exquisite and the dinner was served at 7.30pm with cocktails. I would definitely recommend staying two nights to fully experience everything they offer – the waterfall, the pool, the breakfasts which varied each day.

Stunning

The infinity pool is stunning and was perfect for relaxing. You are given a mobile phone to communicate with hotel staff should you require food, drinks etc. The staff are very accommodating and attentive, food is delicious and our suite was beautifully furnished in a traditional style with a lovely terrace area. An outside rain shower and and outside jacuzzi were also part of the accommodation. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for an away from it all short stay.

Unique, beautiful experience

We stayed here (couple) for two nights during a two week holiday in Sri Lanka. We chose to stay in one of their forest pavilions, It was the absolute highlight of our holiday. Everything about Living Heritage Koslanda makes you want to stay for longer. The pavilions (bedrooms) are beautifully appointed, with everything you need to feel comfortable and safe, and looking out over incredible views. The food, service, pool area and landscaped gardens were of an impeccable standard. We would travel to Sri Lanka again just to stay here.

Perfect example of top end eco tourism

Absolutely loved our two night stay here. The grounds are something to behold – beautiful. The food was lovely and we took the Sri Lankan cooking course – a great way to spend the afternoon. We walked to see the pepper plantation and also to find local waterfalls nearby. The service was impeccable as was the food and rooms. Takes a while to get to as it’s off the beaten path – but that exactly what it’s about. We’ll worth the visit for a supremely relaxing stay.

One of those places you never forget!

We were two couples who were lucky enough to stay three nights in the Forest Pavilions, and we absolutely loved the whole experience and it exceeded our expectations. The Pavilions feel like tree houses looking out over the tree canopy, very cozy despite being quite ‘open’ with beautifully comfy beds and insect nets – not that we needed them. They are close to the lovely pool area, which has views stretching for miles. Each meal was delicious, with organic vegetables from their garden, something to suit ever taste with a mix of ‘local’ cuisine and more Westernised dishes. The waterfall on the property is a blissful spot, definitely worth the 20 minute walk. A huge thanks to Johnson for his helpful advice and kindness, as well as the rest of the team who help to make Living Heritage a really special and memorable place.
