Harvesting flavor: Our renowned organic black pepper
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond mere cultivation. At Living Heritage Koslanda, we embrace a holistic approach to culinary excellence, from the cultivation of organic produce to the creation of artisanal delights. We roast our own coffee beans, craft homemade jams from seasonal fruits, and cultivate turmeric and ginger to infuse our dishes with authentic Sri Lankan flavors. Additionally, guests can take home a piece of our culinary heritage by purchasing our renowned organic black pepper, packaged in small bags, as a flavorful souvenir of their stay.
ORGANIC GARDEN
In our organic vegetable garden we grow as much of our own salad leaves, herbs and vegetables as possible. Guests are encouraged to take a walk around the gardens and the estate, and can join our gardeners in helping to harvest the pepper vines when they are full to bursting with the peppercorns. Our organic black pepper, which is renowned for being particularly aromatic in flavour, is picked, dried and packaged on site, and guests are welcome to buy some as a souvenir of their stay.
